A firm serves many clients, and their data must never mix. Workstreams are how the platform guarantees that. A Workstream is a logical partition for all the data flowing in from a client’s systems — and for an accounting or tax firm, a workstream is typically one client. Everything an agent touches on a run happens inside a single workstream’s boundary.

What Are Workstreams?

A Workstream is the platform’s tenant line for client data. All the data flowing in through Pipelines and agents is separated on a per-client basis according to the workstream it belongs to. No two workstreams share data or access.
A Workstream is a per-client tenant — a sealed room that holds one client’s documents, data, and runs, with a guest list on the door.

How to Access Workstreams

Click Workstreams in the left navigation, under the Adopt Primitives group.
Acct Workstreams
The left panel lists every workstream, each with a count of the people who have access. Selecting one opens its detail on the right, where you manage that workstream’s members.

What a Workstream Isolates

A workstream draws a hard boundary around everything tied to a client: The logic stays shared while the data stays separate: the same agent runs across many workstreams, and only the data context changes per client.

Managing Access

Each workstream carries its own member list — the people permitted to see and work in it. Add someone by email from the workstream’s detail panel, and remove access just as easily. Create a new partition with the New workstream button at the top right.
Adding a person to a workstream gives them access to that client’s files, tables, and agent runs. Keep each workstream’s member list tight — it’s the access boundary for real client data.

Workstreams at Runtime

In the End-User App, a workstream is the thing a person picks to scope a conversation. Choosing a workstream points the agent at that one client’s files, tables, and pipeline data — nothing else is in scope. It’s the moment the shared agent logic meets one client’s isolated data.

Why Workstreams Matter

Client confidentiality isn’t a nice-to-have in accounting and tax work — it’s the whole basis of the relationship. Workstreams make isolation structural rather than a matter of care: one client’s data physically cannot appear in another’s run. That’s what lets a firm safely point the same powerful agents at dozens of clients, confident that the wall between them holds.
