Before you start
You’ll need an Adopt account and access to the documents you want the work prepared from — a folder you can upload, or a Google Drive / SharePoint location you can connect.1
Pick what you need done
On the getting-started screen, choose a task template rather than starting from a blank agent:
- R&D Tax Credit
- Transfer Pricing
- Month-End Close
- Reconciliations
- Custom (describe your own)

Add the client and its files
- Client name — the client this work is for. Each client is kept completely separate; no one working on another client can see this data.
- Add files — drag documents in, or connect Google Drive or SharePoint. Payroll registers, project logs, PDFs, and spreadsheets are all fine.
- Who can see this client — invite the people who should have access. Access is set here, once.
3
Review and go live
- Preview shows a sample of the prepared work, drawn from the client’s files. You’ll see the review-gate reminder: nothing is final until you approve it.
- Cadence — choose how often it runs, in plain terms: once now, monthly, quarterly, or at period close.
- Press Go live.
What happens next
When a run finishes, the prepared work lands in your review queue and you’re notified (if notifications are set up). You open it, check it, and either approve it or send it back with notes.Next steps
